Q: How does colour coding save time?

Poor indexing, misplaced or duplicated files all add up to an unorganised filing system. This will cost your business time and money.

Colour Coding provides bands of colour, quickly identifying misplaced files and speeding up retrieval time by up to 40%. Adding new files or replacing retrieved files is made easy with the colour coding identifying where the file belongs.

Files can be identified from both sides - making the system easy and quick to use. Also the use of different colours for different letters shows quickly if a file is misfiled.

Q: How does the use of lateral files save space?

Lateral files expand or contract to the size of the contents whereas a lever arch file will take up 75mm of shelf space regardless of the contents. The 3 part clip used in a lateral file is designed to operate using the principles of a lever arch folder but without taking up the space.

Lateral files take up less vertical space than folders (230mm versus 310) providing a further space saving.

For example a 6 tier tambour with lateral files holds the same as 4x 4Drawer filing cabinets but takes up 25% of the floor space!
